Misty autumn morning photoshoot at Castell Dinas Bran Llangollen
Having seen the weather forecast predicting a misty morning in North wales I decided it was time I visited Llangollen again and the Panorama Walk with it's wonderful views of Castell Dinas Bran. I arrived nice and early hoping to catch some sunrise light, which at first didn't seem likely as the cloud cover was pretty heavy. Fortunately my patience paid off and a little after sunrise the sun broke through and lit up the misty looking Castell Dinas Bran beautifully. One of the best morning I've had with the camera around Llangollen for a good while. On the way home I called into Pontcysyllte Aqueduct on the Llangollen canal to take advantage of the lovely autumn light.
A photo trip around Llangollen in the Dee Valley
Capturing some of the wonderful views around Llangollen and the Dee Valley. The light was pretty good so visited some of the local "hotspots" including the Horseshoe Falls and the view from the top of the Horseshoe Pass.
Some new mounted prints at Llangollen and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct visitors center
Some of the new prints I've just dropped into the Market on the Fringe in Llangollen and the visitors centre at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
Autumn in the Dee Valley, North Wales
I've been out again doing some photography for Natural Resources Wales on the LifeDeeRiver restoration project, trying to capture the autumn colours although the weather of late isn't making it easy. Fortunately there's been a couple of breaks in the weather and nice ones they were too... some gorgeous light in Llangollen and a stunning day of autumnal mist around Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Corwen a little further along the Dee Valley.
Beautiful autumn sunrise in Llangollen
Running a 121 photography worshop in Llangollen this morning but just had chance beforehand to catch a couple of photos of the beautiful autumn sunrise over the River Dee. First stop was Berwyn and the view of the Chainbridge and then a quick shot on the bridge in Llangollen. Love autumn, the best time to be out and about with the camera, let's hope we get some stunning colours this year!
Working on the LIfeDeeRiver project at the Horseshoe Falls near Llangollen
I've had a couple of trips out to the Horseshoe Falls near Llangollen recently taking photos for the LifeDeeRiver project I'm working on with Natural Resources Wales. Here's a selection of the photos so far, I managed to time it for some lovely morning mist floating along the River Dee.
